Dr. Susan A. Bryan, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Chatham University and my Master of Science in Nursing and Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree at Gonzaga University. I have over 16 years of experience working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner here in Anchorage, Alaska. Since 2007, I have been working at Southcentral Foundation at the Behavioral Health Fireweed Clinic and in 2008 started a part-time private practice in Eagle River that moved to Anchorage in 2023.

I have over 23 years of experience working in the field of mental health. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked in Boise, Idaho as a registered nurse on a psychiatric Assertive Community Treatment team, Mental Health Court team, and on child, adolescent, and adult inpatient psychiatric units. I have also worked as a psychiatric technician on child, adolescent (acute and residential), and adult inpatient mental health units. All of these diverse experiences have helped me establish a basis of both education and practical real-world experience.
